Getting Started - Focusing on the Vision

Thank you for such engaged conversation at the P-16 committee meeting at Texas A&M University – San Antonio this past Friday. There were many ideas and mental models regarding what a demonstration research school should be and our time was limited.

I want to follow up with a series of questions that can help us to focus our efforts. You appointed me chair and I take that charge seriously. You will be hearing from me regularly as we strive in a short time to clarify and focus our vision. I promise not to email you unless there is something significant to report or request.

I will continue posting messages on email and on this blog site while inviting you to respond through either media as is most convenient for you. If you know of a better method then I am open to try it. SurveyMonkey will be available for polling when we get that online.

My goal as leader of this is to continue developing and sharing mental models until we find something that will allow all of our visions to meld into one that we can support and sustain before reporting our findings and recommendations to Dr. Larry Garcia, P-16 Director.
